Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of WhatHerb? at https://whatherb.app, including memberships, assessments, consultations and shop purchases. By creating an account or making a purchase you agree to these terms.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
2. Membership & billing
Individual membership costs £180 per year, or £15 per month. Family membership (up to 5 people) costs £360 per year, or £30 per month. Prices include any applicable VAT.
Members who join before 1 January 2027 ("founding members") receive reduced prices (£90 per year or £10 per month individual; £180 per year or £15 per month for a family of up to 5). From 1 January 2027 family plans are monthly only: £40 per month for up to 5 people, or £65 per month for up to 8 people for as long as their membership continues without a break.
Members pay £100 for an initial consultation (standard £135) and £50 for a follow-up (standard £80). Rose assessment holders pay £60 for a follow-up. Members receive 10% off shop orders, applied automatically at checkout.
Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Membership gives access to member content, tools and discounts. It does not guarantee the availability of a consultation on any particular date, and consultations are booked and charged separately unless stated otherwise.
3. Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel at any time from your profile. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further payments are taken.
You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you first subscribe. If you cancel within this period you are entitled to a refund, reduced proportionately for any digital content or services you have already used, where you asked us to begin immediately.
Renewal payments are not refundable once a new period has begun, except where required by law.
4. Consultations
Consultations are provided by independent qualified medical herbalists. Fees are shown at booking and are payable in advance.
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may not be refunded.
5. Practitioner–patient relationship
A practitioner–patient relationship exists only once you have completed a consultation with a practitioner. Assessments, content and community features do not create that relationship.
Practitioners are responsible for their own clinical advice. WhatHerb? provides the platform connecting you with them.
6. Medical disclaimer
Assessment results, herb information and recommendations are educational and reflect traditional herbal use. They are not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Herbal and food supplement products are not licensed medicines and have not been evaluated by the MHRA for the diagnosis, treatment, cure or prevention of any disease. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional, and seek urgent care for emergencies.
7. Shop orders
You may cancel an order of unopened, non-personalised goods within 14 days of delivery. Custom-blended prescriptions are made to order and cannot be returned unless faulty.
8. Liability & governing law
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales and Northern Ireland.
Questions about these terms can be sent via the contact details in the site footer.
